We collect your name, roll number, and email address when you create an account. We also collect usage data to improve the app experience.
Your information is used solely to authenticate your account and provide access to study materials. We do not sell your personal data. Some information is shared with the third-party services described below — never sold, and never for purposes beyond what's described here.
StudyVault shows ads via Google AdMob, which may collect your device's advertising ID and other identifiers to serve and measure ads — Google, not StudyVault, controls how that data is used. You can opt out of personalized ads in your Android or Google Account settings.
The "StudySnap AI" feature sends a photo you choose to upload to our server, which forwards it to a third-party AI provider (Groq) to generate a summary, flashcards, and practice questions. The image is processed and discarded — we don't store it or use it for anything beyond generating that one result.

StudyVault uses anonymized usage data to understand app performance. We do not track individual behavior or sell usage data to external brokers.
We use Google Firebase for authentication and data storage. Your account data is yours. You may request full deletion of your account data at any time through Settings. All data is transmitted securely using SSL/TLS encryption.
StudyVault is designed for college and university students. We do not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13. You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data.
Users can permanently delete their account and all associated data (including name, roll number, and semester data) directly within the app's Settings via the 'Delete Account' button.
Alternatively, if you have uninstalled the app, you can use our Data Deletion Request form to request a manual record removal. Upon confirmation, all data is irreversibly removed from our systems within 24 hours.
